Regular fundraising events
FORGE’s latest fundraising event was to climb Mount Snowden in Wales which took place at the end of August 2025. Our intrepid band of supporters braved terrible conditions to raise over £5000 for the charity. We next intend to take our mountain climbing fundraising a full half a world away, to Mount Kosciusko is Australia, where we are attempting another climb in January 2026. Check the website for updates in the New Year!
Building a strong Foundation
FORGE CONNECT is our project to build and unite the rare disease community globally – to include patients, carers, clinicians and researchers. This will ensure we have a strong and informed voice behind us, when developing the services, advocacy and research opportunities that can empower those with rare diseases worldwide.
Building our subscriber base
Could you help people with rare genetic disease by making a regular donation to FORGE each month? Small donations grow into large amounts if enough people join together to support our mission. There is so much work to do, so much support needed, to address the inequality of treatment for people with rare genetic diseases. Big Pharma consider research into rare disease non-viable economically. FORGE wants to change this environment altogether – bringing information, hope and empowerment to all those affected.
